If we needed further proof of the fascistoid (I'm being polite here) EDL supporting Israel, its collusion with the British arch-defenders of Israel, the British Zionist Federation led by their clown Jonathan Hoffman, should have been obvious at the recent London demo in favour of the
Hoffie further managed to implicate himself:
Jonathan Hoffman himself gave an interview to a reporter where he openly defended demonstrating with the EDL as ‘there was no proof of any link with the BNP.’ Presumably the fact that they have repeatedly been photographed giving sieg heil salutes is not enough? And in fact there is copious evidence that the EDL and BNP members work hand in hand.
Hoffman, you know we love you, don't you? Remind yourself never to go for an interview for 'Damage controller'... Seriously, we anti-Zios couldn't do it without you, honest. Don't go away, pleaeaease???
Update: over at Greenstein's, Jonathan Hoffman and the CST have posted a right of reply in Greenstein's comment section. Hoffman also claims the quote above is false ('a Lie', in his own words). Where appropriate this post may in the future be amended in accordance with any modifications to Greenstein's source text.

I've never believed Zionism is good for Jews: it's like saying refuges for battered housewives solve the problem of male on female domestic violence. Racism (antisemitism) isn't solved this way either. As regards the right to self-determination, if it's at the cost of another people's right to self-determination then count me out...
It needs to be stressed that further analysis shows the love fest to be a rather one-sided thing: the EDL, as the BNP, support Israel but British Zionists largely keep their distance. Pamela Geller Oshry (Atlas Shugs - 'Atlas Wept' more like...) does openly support the EDL...
Most people don't understand "self determination."
There is no self determination for small nations under capitalism. Small countries are pocket change for strong countries.
As part of a socialist Middle East Jews would have the right to practice religion and speak Hebrew. I don't recommend separate states. I'm for the right to self determination for Jews, Arabs and Kurds, not necessarily self determination.

"eradicate racism" is a fabulous idea, Gert. I agree with you. Sadly is it unrealistic and that is one reason why Israel was created; to allow Jews to determine their own lives instead of putting their lives in the hands of people who cannot "eradicate racism", however wonderful a dream that is.
By creating an ethnostate one cannot eradicate racism, only exacerbate it: those who want to live only among their own will always see 'self' as 'best' and 'other' as 'second class'.
Israel complains more about racism directed at itself than any other country in the world, so much so that many Israelis and their supporters seem to believe Gentiles are innately antisemitic (in itself a dangerously racist notion, of course).
Assuming, purely for argument's sake, that Israel's complaints are 100 % legitimate, then we would have to accept that the creation of the Jewish state has in fact grossly increased the amount of antisemitism in the world. Nice one!
Eradicating racism almost completely is perfectly possible: the political will to do so doesn't exist. It serves many politicians to allow socially acceptable racism to enter into their discourses...

By truncating it you create a complete straw man. Very sloppy reading on your part. To be clear I don't claim that Israel has grossly increased the amount of antisemitism in the world, but I claim that Israel and her supporters seem to do that. Several of which hang out at yours: see Mike, Daniel, Adam, Zkharya and the guy always intent on taking the biscuit, Modernity blog.
Re. the ethnostate, the difference between Israel and other countries in terms of immigration policies is not an absolute one but one of very considerable degree. Which country denies access to places to people who were born in these places, yet grants citizenship to people who already have statehood elsewhere, purely on the basis of ethnicity? If that happened in Britain there would be scandal and uproar.
