Fitzmas is coming!

The "Season of Merriment and Melody" has traditionally been a great personal cause to stick my head in the oven, rather than the turkey. But this year I might actually have something to look forward to: the possible indictments of half of Bushco, following Plamegate.

At the Dailyswim (their credo: Annoying neocons since 2003, I mean, that's so sweet!), they've actually
composed a little seasonal Fitzmas song to cheer us all up!

A very, very, Merry Fitzmas to you all!

Grand Jury testimony of Karl Rove, the White House Deputy Chief of Staff of the United States (COSTUS), leaked by Rove-ing reporter (humor). How much will COSTUS cost us?

It is posted at: http://rovesayswholeakedfirst.blogspot.com

mnmnm, you don't know what this means to me: to have my own Deep Throat, and from the Mid West too!

Here's the active link:Rove says who leaked first. This could all be very important regarding our own Gang of Four too, you know.

We can only hope that Fitz doesn't fizzle.

I like Mr. Fitzpatrick's motto: "If you do a white collar crime then you will serve blue collar time." Look where he lodged Judith Miller. A few months in a blue collar jail and she was ready to sing. Unfortunately, she forgot the words.

And then there is Harriet Miers.
Perhaps the covert and the overt reasons for her withdrawal are both off the mark. Maybe, she got a courtesy call on October 26 from Mr. Fitzpatrick informing her that she was a person of interest or an unindicted co-conspirator. Even if she didn't, she would probably be called as a witness for those who are indicted. Can she claim executive or attorney client privilege and avoid releasing her writings again. It would be hard for her to serve on the Supreme Court when she is knee deep in such a contROVErsy.

What's interesting for us here on this side of the smelly pond is what will the repercussions of all this fallout be for our Prez Bliar and his war cabinet. Most here know that the reasons for standing "shoulder to shoulder" with Bushco were bogus. The indictments, if they happen, and whatever will be unearthed regarding Niger et al, would provide de facto proof of that. So, logically speaking there should be consequences over here too.

Hope springs eternal...
